Our Policies
Appointment Preparation:
Please arrive with your hair washed, dried, and combed/blown out. Anthro Braid does NOT include washing/blowouts as part of any braiding or dreadlock service. A Wash/Blowout is an additional service, it can be selected as an add-on service from our menu. If your hair is not prepped prior to the appointment, the service may be offered to you, otherwise you may be asked to reschedule at the stylist's discretion and request your hair to be prepped prior to your next appointment.
Deposit Information:
Anthro Braid requires a 20% deposit down for all services. The deposit will go towards the total cost of the appointment. Deposits are refundable up to 48 hours in advance of the appointment with prior notice. If appointments are made and deposits have not been confirmed, we will cancel your appointment within 48 hours and a notice will be sent to you automatically. To schedule a new appointment, please call or text us at 801-432-0101.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel your appointment, please inform your braider or call us at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please note that deposits are non-refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment. Deposits can be refunded for emergency cancellations, please contact your braider for further details.
Rescheduling:
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 48 hours prior. We allow only 1 reschedule of the same appointment. If you are in need to reschedule again, the deposit will be forfeited and you must create a new appointment with a new deposit. Same-day rescheduling will NOT be accepted, the appointment will be canceled and a new deposit will be required to schedule a new appointment.
No-Shows:
Deposits are nonrefundable for No-Show appointments.
Refunds:
Anthro Braid does not issue refunds for services provided at the salon. If you are unhappy with your style, please contact your braider directly to resolve the issue. If you were charged in error, please contact your braider to have this resolved.
Day of Appointment:
We kindly ask you to not schedule an appointment if you have to work/call off work, have an event the same day, or if you have any other time-restricting obligations the day of your appointment. Braiding can require long hours of work, and putting our braiders on a time limit can hinder our ability to provide quality work.
Hair length:
Hair under 3 inches is not accepted. If you recently had a fresh cut to your hair or if your ends are blunt, it may not be accepted. Hair that is recently cut reduces the quality and retention of keeping your hair tucked in braids, which reduces the longevity of the protected style.
Phones During Service:
We kindly ask you to avoid any distractions during your service to maintain the quality and efficiency of the service. Our braiders will ask you to position your head accordingly throughout your appointment. If you would like to use your phone, please bring your phone up to the level of your head. In case of an emergency, you may ask your braider if you may step aside to make any calls during your appointment.
Health & Wellness:
Anthro Braid cares about our braider and client's health. In the unfortunate event that a braider or client is sick, we ask that all appointments be rescheduled until the braider or client has recovered from their illness.
Hot Water Disclaimer:
Hot water is used for specific styles. Anthro Braid is not responsible for any damages caused by the hot water or effects therein.
Kid Policy:
Anthro Braid is implementing a new policy regarding servicing children at the salon. We write this with the utmost respect to our clients and our guests, our braiders will uphold our mission to provide best quality braids for your children. We want to encourage parents to help our braiders to keep children engaged and comfortable for the duration of the appointment. We strive to create a peaceful atmosphere for all of our guests who come in and we also care about the safety of your little ones. The stylist has a right to stop the service at any time if they are unable to finish the service, the service will still be charged at full price. Please contact if you have any questions.
Care Disclaimer:
Anthro Braid is not responsible for any damages caused to the hair due to lack of post-service care. If there are any issues due to braider fault, Anthro Braid has a 7 day grace period where a client can receive a free fix to their style. Please contact your stylist for further details. Anthro Braid's braiders can recommend certain styles based on your hair type, and if you choose to get a style that may be unrecommended for your hair type, we are not responsible for any adverse effects this may cause.
